Ghosts & Gravestones Trolley Tour in St. Augustine

Ghosts & Gravestones Trolley Tour in St. Augustine

Explore the darker side of America's Oldest City as you ride the "Trolley of the Doomed" on the Ghosts & Gravestones Trolley Tour in St. Augustine.

Your ghoulish tour guides will entrance you with tales of misfortune and mayhem as you listen to accounts of long gone residents who can still be seen in numerous locations around St. Augustine. The stories you’ll hear come from years of research, personal accounts and hauntingly real-life experiences.

The ghost trolley will travel past some of the scariest and most sacred sites in St. Augustine, including the Huguenot Cemetery, the final resting place of the victims of yellow fever. Keep a watchful eye while passing the City Gates; you might catch a glimpse of Elizabeth, a child victim of the yellow fever, waving to passersby. You will also pass the Tolomoto Cemetery. Who’s playing games in the cemetery when the sun goes down? Is it the spirit of five-year-old James jumping from branch to branch in the trees or is it the Ghost Bride, still waiting for her walk down the aisle?

You'll then have the opportunity to explore the grounds of the St. Augustine Lighthouse, the site of multiple hangings, suicides and tragic accidents over the years. Lighthouse employees have reported moving shadows, strange noises and unexplained voices.

Your tour concludes with an exclusive nighttime visit inside St. Augustine's Old Jail, one of the city’s most haunted locations. Many criminals met their maker here, either from a shiv in the back or the hangman’s noose. Be on the lookout for former prisoner Charlie Powell, just as mischievous dead as he was alive. Visitors to the Old Jail have experienced cold spots, strange odors, loud banging noises, orbs of light and even apparitions.

Board the trolley, if you dare, and journey through to the other side on the Ghosts & Gravestones Trolley Tour in St. Augustine.
