The Creepy Crawl isn't your average "ghost tour" or "pub crawl," but it is a walking pub tour exploring and learning about the varied types of paranormal activity you may experience in St. Augustine. You'll be taken to 3 or 4 pubs or "local haunts," to hear why there are hauntings in St. Augustine, with the real history of the area as well as tales of hauntings in the pubs. Many of the pubs have had paranormal investigations just this year and your guides will fill you in on the findings.

  • Drinks are not included on this tour (other than your welcome drink), but tour participants do receive discounts on drinks at the different establishments that will be visited.
  • If you’re looking for a tour where they make up stories just to scare you, this is not a tour for you. Your guides will give you the truth.
  • Creepy Crawl guests who are visually deemed inebriated or otherwise "under the influence" at check-in will be refused participation on the tour, without refund, for the safety and comfort of all tour guests.
  • Tour size is limited to a maximum of 15 participants per tour.
  • A gratuity to your guide at the end of the tour is not included in your ticket, and is graciously accepted if you have enjoyed your tour.
  • This tour operates Rain or Shine – bring an umbrella! The guides only cancel in the event of severe weather.
  • The Creepy Crawl has you meandering the ancient city streets, so wear COMFORTABLE shoes.

Frequently Asked Questions

We want to bring our adult son with us, but he isn't 21 – he is only 19. Can he come on the tour if he doesn't drink? What is the cost for a "designated driver?" -- Sorry, but no one under age 21 is allowed on this tour. The welcome drink is optional and if your group needs a designated driver, that person can order non-alcoholic beverages during the evening. Another option is to have your designated driver meet you at the end of the tour.

I've been on tours before where there were way too many people, we couldn’t hear any stories and the stops took forever. How many people do you take on your tour? -- The committment to guests is a guarantee of 15 people or less for the Creepy Crawl. By City ordinance, St. Augustine's walking tours are allowed to take up to 25 guests. But your guides feel that too many people takes away from your guest experience, so they self-impose these limits. It can be quite difficult to move a larger crowd in and out of some of the pubs and still receive the quality of service that you expect and deserve.

We've booked tours before that were cancelled at the last minute because of minimum reservations not being met. What is your policy on this? -- There's really no minimum. These tours will operate with only 2 full ticket participants – so no worries! Sometimes, very small tours end up as some of the guides' and guests' favorites, because they are more like a private tour – it's ALL about you!

What if it rains, will you cancel the tour? -- Absolutely NOT! One of the mottos of your guides is, "There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriately dressed people." So, bring an umbrella if rain is in the forecast. If the rain occurs as a last minute surprise, the tour guides usually have an extra unbrella or two to loan out. They would only cancel a scheduled tour in the event of severe weather – deadly lightening, gale winds, or subfreezing temperatures (yes, it's Florida, but they don't call it NORTH Florida for nothing!). Some of the guides' best and most memorable tours have occured when jumping over rain puddles! There are no refunds, but in the rare circumstance when a tour is cancelled by the tour guides, you can take the tour on any future date (subject only to availability) and the reservations would be transferable.

Should we tip our guide? -- Tour guides are professionals in the service industry, the same as servers in a restaurant, hair stylists, drivers in a taxi, and valets. To remove the mystery and confusion which comes from not knowing when or how much to tip a tour guide, please allow this suggested tour guide tip guideline - totally discretionary of course and only if you have enjoyed your tour. A recommended tip to your guide should be from $2 – $5 per person, depending on the length of your tour and your interaction with the tour guide. As always, tipping less or more based on your personal experience is completely acceptable.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
